Greetings,
In the weeks since I announced my candidacy as the Republican candidate for State Representative, 21st District, it has become clear people are excited about this year’s election.
Supporters are excited because they understand I am focused on what matters most to Ohioans right now – job growth. They also like that my candidacy also reflects principles of limited, responsible government.
Unfortunately, Ohio’s economy is in real trouble. Our state is facing huge budget shortfalls and its worst unemployment in decades. We need a new direction – one that creates jobs and balances the budget responsibly.
This election represents an opportunity to choose a new generation of leadership – pragmatic representatives who will transform Ohio into a job-creating powerhouse by doing what government should do – create a business climate that encourages growth, especially among small businesses.
My experience in the community as a lifelong resident is reflected in my candidacy. I care about strengthening our community, especially the neighborhoods around The Continent, Northland Mall and Worthington Square. I grew up here, spending time in these places with my family and friends.
As a twice-elected city councilman, I have worked hard to ensure public money is well spent. That’s why we got down to the basics in Worthington after my election in 2005, passing the first balanced budget in six years and then later creating a city reserve fund to ensure a more stable future.
When elected, I will bring this same common sense approach to Ohio. It comes from someone who is not only from the community, but also for the community.
Warmest regards,
